[D&GBN] Carse Bay & around Southerness

      

Carse Bay 1200 - high tide 

Too late for exposed sands but a scan of the shoreline produced an apparent adult winter med gull. 

Also usual 3 at least little egret. 

Southerness & Gillfoot Bay 

Ebbing tide post 1400.

c30 knot

1 winter sanderling amongst c50 ringed plover 

c200 golden plover 

Many scoter offshore plus 2 fly-by guillemot & 2 gannet. 

Gillfoot Bay proper

2 bar-tailed godwit

2 sandwich tern 

c50-100 dunlin 

Possibly 2 yellow-legged gull but uncertain with ID due to mid-grey mantle. However, summer adult plumage can be darker to my knowledge.

Gillfoot Bay is very good on a falling tide.
