🔗
Lisa Hooper, who is a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA), has lived in Port William for nearly 20 years. As well as being a nationally acclaimed artist and printmaker she is also a lifelong field naturalist who previously worked for the English Countryside Commission.
Lisa’s main subjects are the birds and wildlife of Dumfries and Galloway, although frequent visits to the Northern Isles have yielded a substantial body of work inspired by Orkney and Shetland. She also enjoys portraying insects, particularly moths.
You can see Lisa’s work on her website Hoopoe Prints by going to the Shop area which has a number of categories and can also be searched by ‘latest’ etc.
Lisa works from her home studio and welcomes visitors to the gallery when she is at home or the sign is out. Contact details are on the home page of her website.
Her work is also available locally from the Gallery at Laurieston and the Ochre Gallery in Kirkcudbright.
