Loch Fern - 6th July

Looks like it could be good in the winter months for wildfowl but quiet at the present time of year. Lots of herring gulls. Lesser black-backed gulls & 2 great black-backed gulls coming in to bath & preen. 2 cormorants, mute swan, mallard with young, moorhen with young. Swallows & sand martins hawking over the loch. In the woodland garden warbler, blackcap & jay, red kites & buzzards overhead. 1 banded demoiselle was a suprise find. Chris Baines
