New Abbey to Airds Point

On the New Abbey Pow where meandering & tidal, 8 common sandpiper. High tide roost where Pow meets the Nith, 21 little egret & 2 blackwit. 1 calling whimbrel around confluence. Several grey heron & a few siskin on firs in the village, plus swifts. Only butterfies, gvw, red admiral, ringlet, meadow brown & wall brown. PJ
