Well, what did I say? I spent hours there yesterday, also checking Kirk & Mill Lochs & saw neither the drake Smew nor any Bittern, which has also been reported at CL today! Per BirdGuides. 

Ed. I don't believe it. I'm giving up birdwatching, I'm clearly no good at it! PJ
