Scaup - Carsethorn

41 birds in total including 5 tufted duck (2 more than normal) & 2 drake hybrids. Otter showed nicely too. Single black-tailed godwit & good numbers of teal, wigeon & pintail to the north of village. Peregrine was having a go at a downed redshank, with a crow repeatedly flushing it off water & peregrine diving in, but eventually gave up & sat on merse. Nice mixed flock of chaffinch & brambling along New Abbey to Beeswing Road, at least 9 of the latter but could have been much more. Gavin
