Piltanton

A hybrid Carrion x Hooded Crow at the Piltanton estuary this evening. Distribution of pale/dark plumage quite close to Hooded, but the lighter areas were not light enough, especially the mantle which had a distinctly muddy tone. A couple of Dark Green Fritillaries and an adder in the dunes. Nigel Willits.
