The Point proved too rough for the birds on today's high tide but I managed to find as many as 5 Purple Sandpiper on the rocks off the 13th golf course tee. A real success, given the rapidly fallen numbers in recent years. Several thousand Knot in evidence flying by with all birds finding roosting space at a premium. One Knot seen riding the back of a stoical other! 4 Red-throated Diver fly-bys. PJ
