Rob's Way

Knot at Point of Lag on 12th Jan. I understand that they are very rarely seen there. On 15th Jan, I went in search of the Iceland Gull that had been mentioned. I hiked for a few hours including a little detour down Physgill Glen towards St. Ninian's Cave but failed to see an Iceland Gull. In fact, in all that time the only gull I saw was a single Herring !

Afterwards, I went down to the Isle of Whithorn to see if the gull was there. It wasn't, though I did see 8 Common Snipe take flight, flushed by a walker.

Whilst down the glen I had a nice view of a Goldcrest & a Grey Wagtail so that made me happy. Rob Wadsworth. Ed. Quite excellent images.
