Wigtown

A GWE and a couple of Greenshank in the murk at Wigtown harbour this afternoon. No sign of Cetti's. Nigel Willits. 

RSPB Mersehead

Small flocks of Fieldfare this morning. Gorging on the berries in the avenues. Single Redwing spotted among them though probably more about. Robbie Purdie. 

Mein Water

A single Green Sandpiper this morning. Also a Common Sandpiper, (looks like it's going to winter out here, probably the same bird as last year), lots of Redwing and Fieldfares about now. Bill Jamieson. Ed. Another informative report from Bill. Very welcome they are too! Thanks Bill ☺️๐Ÿ‘. 

Black Redstart

2 reported at the Mull of Galloway today. 

WWT Caerlaverock

"At least" 3 GWE from the Saltcot Observatory Tower hide. Also ♂️ & ♀️ Hen Harrier. 

Greenland White-fronted Geese

25 reported overflying Fountainbleau Ladypark NR. 

Cetti's Warbler - Wigtown Wetlands LNR

A bird singing from the reedbed to the right of the road to car park. Possibly the bird from the Crook of Baldoon last week. Ivan Lang.

RSPB Crook of Baldoon

A good selection on the reserve today with a mixed flock of Fieldfare, Redwing & Chaffinch with a lone Brambling. Over 30 Little Egret across the merse and lagoon, were joined by a Great White Egret showing well briefly. A single White-front with a small group of Pinks. A male Hen Harrier hunting the Marsh with a flock of 40 Twite. Ivan Lang.

A walking against the tide bird just now in Carse Gut, Carsethorn. Also 1 Greenshank, 9 Black-tailed & 15 Bar-tailed Godwit, I think! Fading light. PJ.

Hawfinch

An uncharitable bird flew west at the Isle of Whithorn this morning.

31st. 2 Great White Egrets. Also 2 Peregrine Falcon resting and preening on two separate fence posts on the merse about 1km apart. All seen from Saltcot Observatory Tower hide midday. Robbie Purdie.
