American Golden Plover

Garlieston towards Rigg Bay (between 2nd and 3rd gates), Sunday Oct 11th 12.45-13.30 just before high tide. American Golden Plover still present with 100+ Golden Plover, 200+ Dunlin, 30+ Redshank, 8 Greenshank, 25+ Curlew, 20+ Turnstone. The plovers dispersed at high tide, some remaining near the roost site, others over the far end of the town beach. Also pod of Dolphin around 2.30. Report & pics © Mike Smith.
